Another Use for DIY Upholstered Wall Hangings
Thanks to being discovered and "pinned" by Pintrest lovers and to Apartment Therapy Chicago's recent post, there has been an incredibly heightened interested in The New England Southerner's September 13, 2011 post, DIY Upholstered Wall Hangings. Seeing such an interest in this particular project made me think you guys may also enjoy seeing another use for these pink foam insulation boards from Home Depot. The picture below is of our wedding cake, and I upholstered a board in a blue and gold damask print as a backdrop. Let me know if you have any questions on how to do this, and I would be happy to help. It was great for photos!

How do you hang it?
ReplyDeleteHehe, I pinned it awhile back! Not that I know if my pin got you readers, but it is nice to know that my pinning addiction does do good for the world LOL I just covered some panels in wallpaper this weekend for a friend to hang on her wall for her Salon. I am going to do a post about it and thought of your beautiful example to use in the post. Congratulations on completing your nursery, it is really stunning.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you're getting recognition for such a great idea and execution. Sometimes my local Joannes has great furniture cover materials on deep discount and while I loved the patterns, they weren't suited to clothing. This is a fantastic way to finally have a reason to get those red tagged damask yards.
